Ready to wear

Rachel, over at EugeniaWoods made a special request for a thick chunky scarf/cowl in mustard with a flower and this is what I came up with.  She was nice enough to model it for a photo and I think it looks great with the green shirt and her hair color.

  5. The cowl is really pretty. I have been wanting to make one and haven't found a pattern I like. Is this your pattern or did you find it somewhere?

  7. Thanks, Olivia! I absolutely love my scarf and I can't wait for the temperature to drop below 80 degrees so I can wear it.

  10. Thanks everyone.

I did actually buy a pattern but then decided to just wing it. For the scarf I doubled the yarn (lion brand organic cotton yarn) with a US L size hook. Chained 161, joined to make one giant ring. Then HDC in every other stitch. In the end I used 4 skeins of yarn in total. Hope that helps anyone that wants to make one.
