Health is wealth

I don't have a problem with eating healthy foods, I have a problem not eating unhealthy foods.  

I have been feeling like crap lately and the past few days have been pretty bad.  I'm not really sure what the problem is but I can't rule out all the garbage I have been cramming into my body.  This morning I started drinking fruit/vegetable smoothies to try to rebalance my body. 

Anyone have any healthy eating/living tips to share?

    2. water is your friend - drink him in large quantities every day!

  3. yum! Stay active! I eat healthy as much as possible but still don't get the full effect unless I am active! Walking, yoga, etc. anything will do :)

  4. I take frozen edamame and put it in a baggie in the fridge to thaw overnight, then the next day I take it to work as a snack.

    I eat a lot of "fake" meat. Fake mini corndogs, fake ground beef for tacos, and fake chicken breast. Delicious, great source of protein and doesn't weigh you down!

  5. We're in the same boat. I love love love healthy food and crave salads and other veggie dishes all the time.

    The problem is that I also love fries, chips, candy, and Diet Coke.

    Usually when I've had something of a junk food binge, I clean my body out by eating really clean for a few days and drinking a ton of water. It looks like you're on your way there now.

  6. I'm like you- I eat pretty healthy but I love junk food! I try to drink a lot of water, and have healthy things for main meals.

    Your smoothies always look so delicious!

  7. Spinach & banana smoothies are my favorite..i've been eating them like a mad woman lately! hope you feel better soon :)

  8. we've been trying to do the same thing recently - lots of fruit smoothies (a favourite is strawberry banana mint). I also try to get more veggies by making my own veg soups - somehow it's like you're not really eating them.
    Oh, and water, water, water x

  9. Hmm, not exactly sure what junk you tend to go for, but for me when I crave some junk food I remember the sludgy bloated feeling I get after eating it. And if I do eat it, I crave water and fruit.

    And the most important thing with junk food is quantity I think... if you get half way through some huge portion of something, stop when you've had enough. Even if you throw it away. Don't eat more than your body really wants.

  10. It is between meals that I feel the most prone to eating unhealthy. It helps me when I have around fruit, rice cakes (i love them with peanut butter on them), or something along those lines, otherwise I'd be eating cookies and ice cream all day :) That smoothie looks delicious! The colors are so pretty.
