The weekend pickins

It's been hot and rainy, sticky and humid.
Seems like the only thing liking this weather is the garden.  I planted 2 actual plants of eggplants and they have been sprouting like you wouldn't believe.  I grabbed six off this morning that were ready and there are still some that are growing.  It really is quite amazing especially since there was a time not too long ago that the plants were practically dead.
I also picked this jalapeño that I left too long and let turn red.  I think it sort of looks like a strawberry.  Well, maybe if you squint at it, and pretend there are black seeds, blink a few times and turn around.

  1. I always think eggplants are so pretty! Too bad I just don't like the taste, or else I'd be sure to grow them too.

Haha, I was thinking"well that's a weird smooth looking strawberry..."

  2. Hi! Thanks for stopping in to my blog and your comment. To answer your question about the Dyson - Yes, it works wo sets on hard surface floors. The head it comes with can be used on both types of floors -carpet and hard floors. You can purchase a different head for hard floors that is softer - which was what I did since I have wood and didn't want to scratch them. It was only about $45 I think :)
I highly recommend the Dyson :)

  6. Hi there, I'm visiting you from FTLOB...I knew immediately that I needed to follow your blog because I am enamoured with your photography skills! You take such beautiful photos!

And PS - I read your "about me" page and we have SO much in common! Even something as random as being allergic to mosquito bites...I get them a lot out here and I wind up a huge, puffy, welty-mess. :(
