teXas (saturday edition)

I hope everyone had a nice long holiday weekend.  I spent mine in San Antonio with my bestest friend in the whole wide world and her daughter.  I can't believe it had been so long since we saw each other.  I think we will have to make more of an effort to spend time together.
Saturday we decided to go downtown to check out the Riverwalk.  I think everyone in the state of Texas had the same plans because it took forever to find parking, it seemed like every lot was full.  We did a lot of driving around.
After we found a parking spot we took a quick trip inside the Alamo so I could get some photos but they didn't allow it.  We probably spent a total of 4 mins in there and I don't think we missed much.
Did you know it is hot in Texas?
We snuck into an old hotel to suck in a few moments of A/C.
We ended the night with some BBQ.
And glitter bombed our nails
It's nice to be home but I miss them already.

  1. Texas really can be pretty cool! Glad you had a good time!

  2. I've always wanted to visit Texas...but maybe in the fall or winter.

    Great pictures! Love the nails!

  3. it's always nice to be able to get together with special friends after a long time not seeing each other. can't wait to see mine next year. only, i have to travel 4000 miles to do so :)

    great pics!

  4. Ahh...did you eat at Rudy's?? So yummy!! I think the Riverwalk is always crazy! Everytime we have gone it is packed! Glad you had a good weekend!

  7. Isn't the Majestic just beautiful!!! It's my favorite thing about San Antonio. My husband took me to see Camelot there! Such a beautiful theatre!

  8. I just took a trip to San Antonio last month. The Riverwalk was beautiful but you're right...it's ridiculously hot! I was really disappointed about no pictures in the Alamo too. I took a couple pics outside and we left without even going inside haha!
