I was never into florals until recently and now I can't get enough.  I wish I could find a decent florist near me that has a great variety but I haven't had much luck so far.  Once in a while I've found some decent bouquets at the Fresh Market.

Found this free adorable crochet pattern for these flowers the other day that I pinned to make ASAP!
Who wouldn't love a present covered in this wrapping paper?!

With a strawberry on top

Now I remember why I hated blogging.... I really hate writing!!! I love photos but when it comes down to typing down thoughts or something interesting to go with them it's all just nonsense.  My life just isn't that interesting and I'm okay with that.

Take this strawberry water for instance.  I thought it looked pretty, it's just water with ice cubes and sliced strawberries.  Not even enough to warrant a recipe and it didn't really taste like anything either.  In the end I'd rather just have a glass of water without having to avoid getting fruit chunks in my mouth but I guess if you're having a party and trying to impress there you go.  If you want to get really fancy try it with sprite, pinkyup.witha

My goodness it's been so long since I blogged.  Do people even blog anymore?  Or read them for that matter?  Well summer is in full swing here in Florida and the heat is deadly.  Luckily my succulents live on the porch and are doing extremely well.  I know a lot of people with brown thumbs are pretty successful with them.  I've found most dead plants are caused by lack of water so in order to remember I simply water all my plants on Sundays.
This one was dried out and practically dead but a little water and it's already sprouting back to life.
A few weeks ago I planted some Dinnerplate Dahlias.  They grow from tubers which are very similar to bulbs.  These three were all planted at the same time 4 weeks ago, can't wait for them to bloom.

It's a new year

It looks like 2013 was NOT the year of the blog, damn you instagram for encouraging laziness.  Well, here's to another year of making, creating, and possibly blogging.
